Uptown Village Show and Shine proceeds presentation

On Thursday at 1 PM, a group of Poks including Pete, Briz, Tom Dement, Pledge Don, Pledge Tom, Jim, Finn, Rev, Mike Grimm and your "Club Reporter" brought school supplies and a check in hot rods and delivered them to Hough Elementary.  This was the presentation of the proceeds from the August 20th Uptown Village Show and Shine.  With the kids all lined up to greet us, we rumbled down the street and parked in front of the school.  This year, thanks to planning by Finnski, the kids not only got to get "hands on" in hauling the supplies into the school, but to get "hands on" with the hot rods.  Special thanks to Briz, Pete and Mike for letting the kids have a close encounter with a hot rod.  There is nothing like seeing dozens of kids parade through a $100K Woody Wagon!  The Hough Elementary Principle and Hough Foundation representatives were on hand to accept the check.  The kids made cool Thank Yous for the Poks.  Seeing the kids excitement when experiencing hot rods and hot rodders was the best.  It makes all the  hours we put in to make the Uptown Village Show and Shine happen sooo worth while.
