Our very own humble Steve Denbo was inducted into the NHRA Hall of Fame on  Saturday January 12th at the NHRA Awards Banquet.  He was joined by Hank Johnson, Jess Jones, Jack Shannon, Frank Hall and Dave Wiess.  It was a very special night for Steve, a long time drag racer and NHRA official.  What made the induction even more special was that the presentation was done by Steve's long time friend, drag racing partner and fellow Slo Pok, Tory Lea.  Tory is a very accomplished championship NHRA competitor.  Though he hasn't been around the club much lately, since he is up north in the Seattle area, he and Steve have very deep roots that go back many, many years both working and racing together.
Thanks Steve for all of the hard work, heart and innovation you have put in over the years to make NHRA drag racing the spectacular sport it is.  You are well deserving of this recognition!
